2018 Mental Health awareness week

E ngā mana, e ngā reo, e ngā karangatanga maha, nei rā te mihi

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Healthy Families South Auckland will be leading an activity on Wednesday 10 October next to the Mangere Bridge Boating Club jetty.

Matua Rereata Makiha will demonstrate the ancient method of managing stress and promoting wellbeing by integrating with the moon's lunar phases and syncing with the oceans tidal flows. Harness the energy of an incoming tide! Cast out negativity on an outgoing tide!

The Manukau harbour is one of the worlds largest natural harbours and a massive 70% of its volume flows to the open ocean twice daily. The moon will be in Tirea phase and high tide will be at 12.15pm. It is the perfect time, it is the perfect place to practice 'pure' an ancient cleansing ritual.
